Default KENWOOD and EREBUNI: Picsss!

i really wanted to do the 97 upgrade for a while now, and i just recently started collecting parts, (would have not been possible without gazi). i also always have little things here and there that have to be fixed because it wasn't done the right way the first time. This was definetly the case with my dvd player. I know my car is always dirty, i guess im waiting for my paintjob to care anymore. but i felt bad so i washed her right after the pics. Anyways here are some pics:

i mocked up the rear erebuni apron to test fitment, it seems real good fitment!

heres a shot directly from the rear

other side, different angle

the 97 bumper may look a little distressed, but it'll be all pretty once installed

heres a pic of my new dvd player (the old ones reader failed on me), its the kenwood ddx7015, sorry for the blurry pic, i wasn't steady. by the way the quality is amazing, as is the equilizer options.

here it is with the screen tilted forward: insert cd

before i had a ghetto rigged ipod wire to my headphone jack on the player, now i have a real ipod interface no more charging outside the car, i hide it in my compartment, and i have the IP500 to directly control it thru my touchscreen. the ipod compatibility on the kenwood is definetly convenient however it takes a bit getting used to, and it can definetly update in the future for better functions.

i kno everyone is always worried about prices of everything, i am a college kid on a budget and so i try to buy everything for a deal. the kenwood ddx double din was 600 refurbed (1100 new?), the front bumper was 150 (350 new?), the rear apron directly from erebuni is 285, but because they only had one in stock i got a discount and picked it up for 200 even. i just need to collect sideskirts and possibly the lower door moldings and i can paint her. i also need a grill which can be aquired no problem, but will wait for fogs and tail lamps later, as soon as the panels are collected i will send her off to paint the same color, i love garnet! i also have a pair of fenders which i will replace on my car because my old fenders have been banged up in the past and i want them back to perfect. I might play with her emblems a bit too.

lookin forward to summer of '06 so fall in love with my SC all over again.

He got the front bumper for $150 as stated in his post.

Also seems like you got some suspension on there too. What's your car riding on? Nice wheels btw.

looks like you have things coming along. one question though, does your headunit get in the way of the shifter when you have the face open like that?

not unless you have an AV port. just get a tape deck, it worked fine for me for over a year. imho much better than the FM transmitters, they cost more and dont get good reception. thanks everyone else for the kind words.
