Cheap bolt-in racing seat(s)
Anyone know of any? I'll be picking up a 1JZ front clip this weekend for an SC400 conversion. Will also convert to RHD at some point... Anyway, I'll need a seat. Brand name, generic EBAY, whatever.
Thanks

dont get generic EBAY unless you're just using them for show. The quality on them is POOP!!! You get into an accident and those suckers will be annihilated along with you in them.
(im just letting you know from personal experience)

Need something that can be used easily in a RHD configuration. Something with specific brackets available for the Supra/SC. The car needs seats anyway, as it didn't come with any..... Will try checking with local importers soon to see if they can acquire a cloth RHD soarer seat or JDM supra seat(s).
Any other suggestions?

check ebay... they always have soarer cloth seats on there.
keep us posted with the project, as everyone that has attempted RHD, has changed their mind.....and that speaks volumes on the difficulty of this project.

Ive seen a couple generic brand seats sell for cheap at Kragens. about $100ea. But the only thing is that their cushin is nothing but layers of card board. I'd rather just get some Sparcos.

Thanks also for the inspiration. I will begin removing the dash tomorrow to hopefully get an idea of the mechanical and electrical work that will be necessary for the conversion. Seems that it may require more body re-wiring and splicing, but it will cancel the need for extending the engine harness, acquiring a new US (non LCD) gauge cluster, and performing mods for the temp and tach signals. This is a do-or-die thing, as two Lexuses (Lexii?) will be out of commission pending completion.

I'm looking at $309ea for the Buddy Club seats. Do you have a better source for these and brackets? Reclineable would be preferred, but anything that is good bang/buck will be considered. Also looked at Corbeaus and Tenzos.. the latter probably suffering in quality. Didn't find applicable brackets for the Tenzos anyhow.
