I used the Mother clay bar and was not that impressed. It took out SOME of the imperfections but it was still a little rough afterwards. Do you think I could be doing something wrong perhaps?

Sometimes with older paint you might have to do it twice....Make sure you clean the car with a good carwash soap or gentile dish soap...to get all the wax off...it you don't do this the resistance you feel while "claying" will be the wax being removed and not the crap in the paint.

i'm going to try claying the car for the 1st time this weekend. i polished and waxed it last week but im looking for a bit more shine. i think someone mentioned waxing the car then polishing after the clay bar. my normal process is to polish then wax, but i don't clay. is it safer to wax then polish after i clay bar the car? i used Klass AIO polish and NXT wax. I bought the optimum no rinse wash and the clay magic set.

It looks great, but I thought I read somewhere in this forum that claying our color was a big no no. Can anyone else chime in on this?
