Just take it to your mechanic and have him check it out, that's what I did. Sounds like a pretty decent deal to me.

That is true. I bought my 93 SC300 for $1200 off an old dude that lived in an old people retirement trailer park, he was like 75.

I would check to see where the car was titled. Could be a Katrina car...talk them down..I found this out today with Geico... it will be hard to get full coverage insurance if the interior is damaged. hard to believe but true!

I totally agree that there are better deals out there.

What raised a flag for me is that it was at a dealership, and priced under market for a perfect car.
I may be totally off base....it might very well be a good deal.

But you guys are arguing a different angle....you think it should be less.

Im just using caution....thats all.

It's a nice car, but I wouldn't call it a smokin' deal. Keep in mind eventhough it only has 60K miles on it, it probably hasn't had any major service done yet.

A low mileage car will still have 11 year old parts and as we all have experienced, after 11 years rubber and plastic pieces from the engine and interior will fail. This equals costly repair bills.

For $10K, I think you might be able to find a later model year. Either way, good luck and let us know what you decide.

I purchased my 93 SC300 w/ 68k miles for $5000 and i helped another CL member get his 93 SC300 w/ 67K miles for $5000... Both cars were in mint condition. There are deals out there if you are patient.
