That is alot of mods ... I like those tails alot but, why can you not oen roast them? I figure they would work kinda like the headlights. If so could you do a right up or atleast let me know what all you had to do. Thanks Good luck with the single snail.

If you oven roast the tails, you'll deform them. Its a different glue then the headlights, and ALOT more of it. It has a very high melting temp and cools very quick. I had problems with slight deformation using a heatgun, but youll never see it. Its a mess. I ruined a shirt and a pair of gloves doing it. Its going to suck taking mine back apart again so i can have the inside plastic chromed.

I really havn't even started to mod the car yet. I'm having problems with the ECU when i goto upgrade to a single. Ive personally seen problems with emanage ulitamate on a 1JZ, timing advance is like 3* no matter what ecu setting. A single turbo 1JZ mk3 made 20 more rwhp then me on stock boost and they were in the 18psi range with one.
AEM wont warrentee a custom install'd ecu. The only proven system, FconVpro, no one in FL tunes them or has the unlock to do so (that i know of so far). Haltech is old technology but works, maybe microtech?

My good friend has the Micro-tech on his CA powered 240 and it is a nice system. Also, in Austin,tx we have a Fcon Pro tuner. To bad for you guys with that. Sounds like your set-up should be fun. I would like to see the numbers it puts down.

Sounds like the rear tails are a PETA....

Mine slips now at 275rwhp. I'm going GM TH700r4, or if i want to be a baller, a 4l60e with stand alone tranny managment, but probably not.

I need overdrive. TCI makes a great TH700r4 that is tested for 600+hp all day use for 2k, but even a stock mild upgraded 700r4 will handle the occassional pass at the track without issue.

Well that is definately cheaper than the Th400 by a long shot. 600HP is also a good amount of power too. Sounds good. Where did you end up getting your 1JZ's from?

I get all my JDM parts from J Hot Imports in Augusta, GA. They are not a middle man, their parts come directly from their recycling plant in Japan.
