i was driving back from work on the NJ Parkway and then all of a sudden the acura legend infront of me jams on the brakes and starts screeching and burning rubber...i assume it rear ended the car infront of them. i was going about 50-55mph and tried to slow down to 0 but failed. the results were a damaged hood, broken passenger lights, and damaged front bumper...for the exterior...i dont know about damage under the hood but it seems to be fine. ends up it was a 4 car rear end accident including my car and i was the last car in line. the car in the front of the line was either cut off or suddenly slamed on the brakes. luckily i wasnt hurt and the airbags didnt go off. the car infront of me was totaled and the other two in front had minor damage. the cars at the end always get the worst of it .

i just moved to NJ a mo ago and got all my NJ insurance, registration, etc...and then this happens. i had a perfect driving record prior to this so i am expecting my rates to skyrocket . i guess on the bright side i might be able to convert my front bumper to the 97+ front.

BTW NJ insurance sucks... our rates are already ridiculous so this won't help any.

Interesting, last year an Acura Legend rear ended me... I guess those Legends are jealous (I used to have one ).

Anyways, the SC is built superbly well, it is pretty hard to total these cars since the design of the car makes it so that alot of the energy is absorbed mostly on the bumper cover.

Anyways, put up some pics so we can address the damage.

That poor legend..lol jk i drive a legend too.. good luck with the repairs, after my accident i upgraded with newer bumper and cf hood.

Damn sorry to hear that...At least it wasnt your fault...I drifted into the center divider on the freeway !! what year & color is your SC? I have a front bumper layin around in my garage...
