pics from my drive to San Felipe, Mexico
I snapped a few boring pictures of my most stock SC during my trip to mexico... it was a really fun drive and I think I'll do it again. (insurance isn't expensive either -- 40 bucks for 3 days)

PS: The roads aren't terrible either... you have to be careful about downtown, but I've seen worse conditions in New England

Nice. If you ever manage to take the drive down to Mexico City (realize Baja is much farther away), you are always welcome to stop by and race at my track. We could use some more Lexus cars and SUVS.

looks like a pilar cover, or he removed the paint and that's what's underneath.
nice pics I'd be a little sketchy about taking my car across the border, just cause of all the crap I have in it....I'd be overly paranoid

Thanks for the comments guys...
1) the chrome b pillar is really just the material found underneath the paint... cleans up nice, eh?
2) On that dirt road I was less than idling along, that's how slow I took it.
3) Lexmex: Thanks for the offer -- I'll keep it in mind.
I was helping to build a house down there with a habitat for humanity type program... It's not a bad drive -- 7-8 hours at a decent pace 75 on the freeways, far less in mexico... I won't tell you how long it took me
As far as being safe, I really debated whether or not I wanted to drive it down, but after some knucklehead scuffed my rear bumper trying to parallel park, I figured my car was as safe in a gated, fenced off complex in as in would be in Pepperdine parking lot... Turned out to be very true.
More than that, I care for my car a great deal, but it's still a car -- She's gotta be driven (and I most certainly did!)
Thanks again for the comments!
