I'm Back!
Been hanging around here for a year or 2, through all the website changes. Great site guys, keeps getting better.
I have a question - I have the 17" GS400 wheels on my SC300. Any idea on tire pressures? Should I go with the reccomended SC tire pressure or the GS? Or maybe they're the same - 30?

On the GS the recommended pressure is 33. Some run up to 35. But the GS is 3600 lbs plus and your car is lighter. Thus, these pressures may be too high and cause the tire to run too high on its center. My guess is that the magic number is between 30 and 33.
Don't know where to point you for better info except perhaps you could call the tire manufacturer and tell them the wieght of your car and see if they can give you any help.

Firestone has conversion listings for different sizes/applications.
They had a set of pressures for my Fiero with 225/50-16 tires,so chances are they have a number for your car.

Doesn't the SC weigh about 3650? Maybe even more than the GS?
I run about 32psi on the street and ~36 on the track. I found that the car oversteers just a bit, so I run a pound or two less in the rear. That makes the car handle neutrally and very predictably. In the rain on the track I run 38 or 39 in the front. Remember, you want the tire to slice through the rain.
