SupraTT Brakes

I just got back from Le Circuit Mont Tremblant up near Montreal. What a beautifuly reconditioned 2.5 mile road course.
I have the GS400 17" wheels with the SupraTT brake setup on the front with H&R wheel spacers - they work Excellent - what an incredible difference over the stock setup. Any questions about this let me know.
I was thinking of doing the rears with the Supra brakes because the rear rotors are turning to junk. I remember reading about some people who have done this, but can't remember the process. Can someone let me know what is involved - just bolt on like the front or is there parking brake stuff involved? I'm in COMSCC car club - we do time trials and drivers schools so I really need all the braking I can get to bring this heavy SC down from speed.

I see that you've done the SupraTT brakes on the rear on your SC. I have done the front and I'm thinking of doing the rears. Could you tell me what is involved?

Supra TT Brakes Question
I have GS400 17 inch wheels on my SC400 too and I hate the brakes...the brakes are crap on these cars!
Do you need spacers for the TT brakes?
How about the rear?
Are spacers safe?
I just installed Tokico's and Dunlop SP 8000's! I wanna be able to stop now too>

Joe,
Wheel spacers are required to do the Supra brakes with the 17" GS wheels. Get them from H&R Springs in Washington or optauto.com. They're a little pricey - around @200. Make sure you get spacers for the rear as well so the car tracks properly. Get the 15mm ones, this brings the wheel out just over 1/2" and the wheel/caliper fits perfectly with about a 2 or 3 mm clearance. The spacers come with new lugs beacause the stock lugs will be too short. This is the PITA part - Wack the lugs out with a hammer then press the new lugs in by turning a nut on the lug to bring it in.
There is no saftey issue I know of - oh ya there is - Your car will stop on a dime! I would bet there is a 50% increase in stopping power. As well your car will handle better with a wider track - Wider is better!
As for the spacers being a safety issue - If you buy those cheapo ones at pep boys for $6, then sure there is a safety issue. the H&R spacers are hubcentic and made specifically for each car. Guys in my car club run 1" to 2" spacers on their Porche's and they're going alot faster than me.
Ok, I'll ask again - Has anyone done the Supra brakes for the rear? Looking to know what is involved.
