I was trying to find another with this code. everyone tells me it looks purple.. and pink... but it is not. This is one of the rarest colors on these cars. and the best.

I admit the body kit was a bad idea and screwed up this car. so I have bought and painted an oem 97+ (what came on it) and added a nice lip to it. I made it out of roof flashing.

Interesting thread re-birth. Someone in SoCal is probably driving my old SC around and dosn't even know its the one from the picture. I sold that car to "Spoiledkid" about 3-4 years ago. I hope it is still running strong and turning heads. I'm plenty happy with all the cars I've had since though.

Bumping a hella old thread, but I got a bordeaux pearl sc300 myself and just love the color
As for the difference if you still care anymore.
Baroque Red Metallic (3M9) looks to be a bit darker purplish/brown than Bordeaux Pearl (3L4). At quick glance if it was darker you could probably mix the colors up. Then again that could happen with a Bordeaux Pearl and Red Garnet Sc if it was darker. Hope that helps even if it's a "little" late haha.

Heres my 114k 96 Lexus SC400 with paint code 3L4. I'm the second owner of this car I Just bought it a few months ago and my plans for it are to bring it back to the condition it was when it arrived at the Lexus dealership in 1996. I am planning on keeping it stock even down to the Nakamichi stereo but If I do modify anything on it it will be very minor and tasteful. Enjoy
