Default So uhh, I might run out of gas tomorrow.

I went and put my check in the bank today and after that I had to be at work. I was gonna go to the ATM after work and get money so I could put gas in my car. Well apparently the lady at the bank did something wrong with my deposit and I dont have any money in my checking account. By the time I got home, my trip meter was over 320miles and I am down to about 1/8 tank of gas. I have to make it about 15 miles tomorrow to the gas station. I dont know if I can make it. I was just wondering how far a normal tank of gas will go on a stock SC300? Also if everyone thinks that its possible to make it to the gas station? I must say that I am nervous.

Is your "fuel light" on? Usually when the one on my RX300 comes on and I fill up right away I get it to feed my car about 16 gallons, the 2001 RX300 has a 19 gallon tank so that leaves a 3 gallon gap, and even with that I can get another 35-55 miles depending on what I'm doing. If your tank light just popped on you shouldn't sweat 15 miles, but if your tank light has been on say before a 30 mile commute just drive slowly to the gas station and you should be fine. 15 miles is ease. Good luck.

I average around 400 before red light comes on.

If you drive it conservatively you should be able to make it to the gas station.

If you're really worried, you can siphon the gas from another car. Preferably one of yours

I'm just mad that the lady at the bank screwed up. I normally fill up just when I pass the halfway mark.

I think I get 320 miles on a full tank of premium gas in the SC400's and nearly the same in my IS300.

I never let that happen. Too hard on the fuel pump. My 320 is from almost completely full to nearly empty. Almost, because overfilling will trap in your Evap canister forever... doesn't smell good on a warm summer day.

its amazing that some of you get 370 before the light comes on.

i usually fill up at 280 miles and thats a 14-15 gallon fillup..

considering the light comes on with 3 gallons of reserve left in a 20 gallon tank and i get about 18mpg my light should come on at about 320 miles or so.

but i guess you guys probably drive a lot of highway.

when your gas needle hits the line for E and the light comes on, u got at least 40 miles left.

Not in my car I have changed all the settings to ACTUAL readings. Lexus pads the clusters so you won't run out of gas. I wanted mine to be realistic so I can monitor my fuel pump temperature accurately.

Can you change the warning light for the fuel gauge like the background lights or is it different?
