My 1997 SC300 Turbo: NA-T. Lots of pics!
As the title states, I decided to go turbo. Yea, NA-T was the way to go in my opinion. Installation was a breeze, fitment was great, and the car runs amazing. Fortunately, I was able to install everything on ONE day. Here is a list of what was installed:
DaveH Turbo Manifold
T61 Turbo
Tial 38mm Wastegate & dump tube
Downpipe
Midpipe
Boost Logic Front Mount Intercooler Kit
SS Braided Oil Feed and Return Kit
3” Intake with 9" K&N Filter
K&N Breather
Walbro GSS341 255HP Fuel Pump w/ Install Kit
HKS SSQV Blow off valve
I also got my custom exhaust installed a day earlier. 3" pipe, into a magnaflow Y pipe, into two 2½" pipes, one resonator on each side, and one 4" muffler on each side.
To my surprise, NOTHING went wrong. I was able to install the FMIC and all the piping without removing the front bumper Crash bar was unmodified, and is still in place. Other than trimming some of the plastic covers inside the wheel wells (for the FMIC piping), the only thing that really needed to be altered was the location of the coolant reservoir tank. I simply moved it out of the way to clear the FMIC, and zip tied it for now. I'll probably make some custom brackets so it looks a little cleaner. Other than that, the installation was pretty straight forward. It was definately a whole day's job. So far, so good. The car is pretty damn fast, I must admit- I am very impressed as to how well the car performs at just 7.2psi. I used to have a 3000GT VR-4 than ran 11.70 at 119mph... and this thing still impressed me a lot For now, I'll be running anywhere from 93-95 octane at 7.2psi. I plan on running 9-10 psi eventually, on 100 octane of course. I'm still at wastegate boost, without a boost controller installed, and the injectors are still stock too. Next up is a wideband... just to be on the safe side.
Oh, one more thing- No check engine light (my sc300 is OBD2, and it has 0 cats right now).
Let me know what you guys think. Any comments/suggestions would be great.

xknowonex- Hey bud, I'm in Glendale (91208). Is that anywhere near you? Maybe we should set up a socal CL meet some time.... it seems like a lot of guys on the forum are from around this area
lighthalo- It's got an auto tranny. I haven't decided whether or not to keep the stock tranny and add a tranny cooler, or to simply swap a tranny from an automatic soarer... but I'll definately do one of these options within a few weeks. Total cost (all parts being brand new) was about $3,000, and I installed it all myself.
nysupraman- The car has 64,000 miles. Original motor, transmission, and pretty much everything is running like it's supposed to. Even with the turbo kit installed, the car idles smoothly, and runs great. So far, so good- hopefully reliability doesnt go down the hole
turbo6- thanks for the compliment As mentioned above, I just hope the car still remains reliable. I rarely beat on it, and I'd never abuse it. Hopefully it treats me well.
I uploaded a video (YouTube) of my exhaust clip. I revved it up to about 5,500rpm to show the exhaust note, turbo spool, and bov.

If anyone has any questions or comments about something in particular, or how I did ____, just ask. I'll be more than happy to share and pass on all the info I learned to others on the forum.

I'm a little iffy on the angled exhaust but a good job nonetheless.
