Im Back
Wow, so after a 2 year hiatus from CL, im back. I have owned my 92 SC300 for about 3 years, and after the first year of mods (sound system, bodywork, rims, springs/shocks) I pretty much stopped caring about it...... My very nice paint got scratched, my speakers had minor problems, my car alarm had problems, and worst of all my rear camber was so bad that I was eating tires about every 4 months.
Yesterday, my battery light came on. And I was hoping only my battery was going bad. I got my alt/battery tested at kragen and they said only my battery was bad. I bought a new battery, and no luck. I went to sears for their 'full electrical' checkup, and they said my alternator was bad.
While waiting for Sears I realized, this car is gorgeous and really hasnt given me any problems at 186K. After thinking about getting a new car (mostly due to Gas MPG) ive decided to treat this baby the way it should be treated. She's been very good to me, so I should show her some love.
Shes currently in the shop with a brand new High Output (160 amp) alternator, new battery, new plugs/wires, cap/rotor, Distributor O-ring, and Valve Cover Gasket
I should only neeed a few more things to have the SC running how she deserves.
Anyone know what the labor would be for a Camber Kit (Front and Rear) Install?
I also need new Cam Gaskets... Is labor for this going to be as bad as I think it is?
