G35 tauted me too we were on each other for about 10 miles then i had to take him at 130-135 because he was scared and then the ultimate happen......."I BLEW MY ENGINE". stupid me was tooo anxious and was running on 1 quart of oil. Well engine is getting a complete make over now needless to say. Something very surprising in the next 3-6 months.

One the way back from the track....after racing the hell out of it all night.....with a little less then a quarter tank i hit somewhere around 150....deff could have gone faster cause the car was still pushin.....it was amazing though.....NOT ONE BIT OF A RATTLE ON THE WHEEL.......started to get a lil worried about going 2 jail sooo i slowed it down

i bought a 1996 SC300 A/T last week from a country that has speed limit. i went faster and faster with various speeds to brake it in. i ended up driving exactly 150mph with 300lbs package and 2 people and i found out this car has more power and goes faster than my 1992 SC400. there are various threads were people say that the SC400 has NOT 250HP, i may agree in the meanwhile.

Well I got the Lexo up to about 110 the other day, but backed off for a few reasons.

1. Gas is fricken 3.57 a gallon right now ...

2. The little accord that was messing with me wasnt even worth the gas!

3. If I was 19 again I would have topped it out!!! I just dont have that fearless energy in me anymore at 30. I more less think about famaly, kids, ya know ! important things like that, when im hitting high speeds...lol.. yea im a soft *** nowadays!!

4. Dont laugh, but I bought some re-treads, and I just dont trust re-treaded tires with anything over 100mph. Your asking for trouble with those..lol..lol..

how is it that these mid 90s SCs are going 150mph??? i can't imagine going 150 in it.

i went 131 in my 98 GS3 and i thought that was fast...

Has anyone here taken thier cars on any high speed oval tracks? I've found videos of the NSX club on those things....that would be the best lexus meet if it was put together, could probably get some good speed on a large enough track....

Not to mention bbq, beers, babes.....

Or IF I win the lottery I'm buying a ton of land and putting in my own track

Fastest I've gone is in a 1989 acura integra, yes they have only 118hp, got that stupid thing up to 131mph at 6500 in fifth gear on I-5 outside of Ashland Oregon. (shot a video of it too, while driving).

The SC300 only had to about 120 mph....just don't feel the need anymore as I love the car too much!!! Maybe on a closed runway or track...

145 in my 1993 sc400 southbound on I-35 north of Ankeny, Iowa at 1:30 a.m.

and so far about 125 in my "new" 1997 sc300 westbound on I-80, just west of Altoona, Iowa at about 4:30 p.m.

You did not go 150+... what was the tach at? 7000!? My old sc4 got up to 150 ONCE and it was downhill. 300 can't top that... can it?

Lexfest is at Atlanta motor speeday this year. maybe they will let us get loose on the track.
