I must say, my '94 SC400 has not let me down yet and I feel very comfortable depending on it as my daily driver
When I first got mine, I pulled up to work and my boss got effing pissy. She's like "A new Lexus Coupe? How much do I pay you again?". My car's 10-11 years old at this point.

Use my '92 SC3 as my daily driver. I've done a good amount of work to it in the past two years to fix problems relating to the previous owner's lack of maintenance (new rear assy., a million electrical problems, brakes and rubber all around, and the regular stuff). More money than i ever expected but I think it's worth it.

What other 16 year old car looks better than 90% of the new crap they make these days?

The AC pump, leaking rear window seal, charcoal canister surrounding gas tank is *messed up*(only because i couldnt tell you exactly whats wrong with it, its the only thing I havent fixed. For being a 1992, it just needs someone to polish her up a bit. Love it.

I have many cars. My SC got broken into and the thieves took all the electronics on it. So it's been sitting for awhile. I haven't gotten the chance to replace it.

I have 4 vehicles... its nice to have a choice between a little luxury, economy, a stereo, and ride quality. The Soarer has none of those attributes. The Soarer has something the others dont, insanity. And insanity is a nice thing to have once in a while.

I used to have two cars. A rare and beautiful BMW 850CSI with a powerful V12. My daily driver is my SC300 Ive had for about 4 years. The motor has over 300k miles and it spends no time at a shop because I do all my own work. I probably get about one problem a year from it. I also raced my SC pretty hard so its doing fairly well for the age and mileage.

My SC is my daily driver and it has been great. It runs well and no mechanical problems. My window switch on the driver side needs to be replaced and the A/C needs to be recharged but it keeps miles off my 94 Supra APU, so I will drive it until the wheels fall off, once it has served it tour of duty it will get a GTE swap, after college.

despite past owner abuse, and 184,000 miles my daily driven sc400 has been great. Minor issues, but if you stay on top of it, the car doesn't complain.

The only thing i wish it has was a manual transmission..

timeless style, plenty of power, comfort, and just about every option you can imagine; it'd be hard to go back to driving a 240sx!

That is a completely untrue statement. There is a realtor here in Knoxville (that I know) who drives an 800 hp black magazine cover supra and he seems to do just fine.

I've only owed my SC for a little over a week, but I will say that I am very impressed with the condition of the car after 13 years. The motor is extremely clean and runs strong. I've had the chance to look over the complete repair history and really, other than normal maintenance its only ever had the alternator replaced. Either it was babied or the cars were built to last, likely a little of both.

I have 290,000 miles on my '98 SC 400 and I have ZERO problem.(knock on wood.) My car runs strong and gets 22mpg average. I have no complaints.

I have owned a few SC's in the 40+ cars I have owned. The one I have now is the best one I had, being it only has 49K on it. Its the oldest one also being a 1994. I like these cars alot, but I dont like driving it alot only due to me wanting to keep it with low miles. I also have a Cadillac Escalade EXT, and a Mercedes ML500. I drive my EXT the most. The Lexus SC is very reliable. I have owned a LS, ES, and GS models, and I must say overall the SC is the best out of all of them. I am a mangager at a highline car dealership, and we rarely ever have a Lexus that needs to come back for repairs under the 30 day/1,000 mile warranty. Good thing about the SC is there barely any room for rear passengers. So only 1 other rides in my SC.

Im only getting 17 mpg in my SC400
