Ian, i did re-tape on my emblems
I took the double sided tape, peeled one side off, stuck emblems on, took a paper blade and trimmed the emblems, then removed the other tape backing and put the emblems on very easy, just a bit long on the trimming part cuz i didnt want to have any tape showing

have you tried 95-96 tails on it?
mine looked so much better from the back when i upgraded
