When you push the trunk release button is the trunk supposed to fly open or stay where it is until u lift it. I have to lift it and it'll stay in wut position i left it in.

Mine stays down. I've heard from other people on here that after getting new ones it should pop up. As long as it doesnt fall back down on you while your back there I think you should be OK.

Some people who don't have spoilers use the struts that are meant for trunk lids + spoiler, their trunk lids fly open. From what I hear, the popping open is short-lived anyway, only while the struts are new.

I replaced mine with the Sach ones from ebay for the the spoiler version. It pops up really quick since I dont have a spoiler. The only drawback to some is that it requires some effort to close it.

It doesn't pop up all the way until you lift it! It was like that when my car was brand new.
I recently installed the new struts. The trunk pops up for about two times by itself when released. Thenafter you'll just have to lift it yourself.
