Replace side mirror glass
Hi. I recently had a set of JDM power folding mirrors put on my car. I haven't hooked them up yet, but that's not the biggest problem. The problem is that now my driver's side mirror is zoomed out, and the passenger side mirror is normal, due to the fact that soarers are RHD. I still have my origiinal mirrors and the glass inside of them, so I would like to know how to take apart the mirrors without damaging them and swap the glass out.
Thanks
Thanks

Might be a PITA job. On my FC I remember I could fold the mirror back enough to get to some screws, but I know that it was the improper way of doing it. Pulling wont work, as you can crack the mirror.
I'm thinking heat gun to the mirror...it can possibly loosen the glue holding the mirror to the plastic backing.

The thing is that I see a place to put the screw driver in the mirrors (its on the bottom, like a little slot), but I am afraid of crackingt he housing. I wasn't planning on just grabbing the mirror with brute force.
Thanks for the reply though

I see those two places on the under side to pry apart the mirror, but the rest doesn't seem to budge after I put my flat head screw driver in the slot and turn it.
I got the mirror pulled as far out as I could. Don't see how to move it more w/o breaking the motor that its mounted on.

As for wiring.... I think its going to be easier to figure out which wire does what than it was with the A/C controls

Otherwise, the project isn't dead.
[end off topic]... I wouldn't want the mods closing this topic due to the A/C discussion
