Yes you can make it work but you got to find a 2001 RX airbag. Its really rare

I really do like yours but I want to keep my air bag.. god knows with the way I drive.. I need it

I put a wheelskins on my steering wheel 3 years ago. I think I got the solid tan or sand to match the original steering wheel color. It was a great match, not an exact match but it really looks original and matches the seats.
However, a coupla things I noticed would make me not buy another wheelskin. It's really sticky and your hands don't slide easily over the wheel in hot or cold weather. Even when cleaned and conditioned. It's already wearing out on the top where I grip and where the sun hits it and there are light rough spots there.
Since they are leather and each piece is unique you might not have the same problem. Maybe I just got a bad cut of cowhide.
