I didn't even look at the date of when this was posted. I will say that I definitely agree with Net said though. I really wish they would have made the car have more Luxury features like the Soarer or even the mid/late 90's LS.

2. The "lexus/luxury" snob purist guys who drive a THROW BACK car that was once considered luxurious back in the days, but now realistically, is not-so luxury by today's standards. But still want to act like they are upper-class car owners and put down other people who do things like make their SC's drift-spec, etc.
There's also people who just love the styling of the 1st gen Lexus SC like myself. I bought my SC400 because it puts a smile on my face every time I look at it. I'm not really concerned about having a well engineered car. I mean, in my opinion (and don't take this personally) most people who tune SC's do it just because they can't afford a Supra. I don't know if you noticed, but our cars handle like boats! They're big, heavy, the wheelbase isn't long enough, and they have an incredibly floaty suspension. I know the hardcore SC tuners would argue that if you dump enough money in, the SC could handle as well as an XXX, but the point is that you're already starting on the wrong foot.

Would I like it if my SC was faster and more agile? Absolutely, but at this point in my life I can't afford to start dumping thousands of dollars into a money pit, and yes CARS ARE A MONEY PIT. Sorry Aliga, but your concept is a little flawed. You ever seen the tuner cars selling on Autotrader or eBay? They just sit there for months because 99% of car buyers out there don't care if you spent $10k doing an engine swap or a turbo kit. Most car buyers don't want a modded car because they either don't care for that, or they worry about compromised reliability. That means your market to sell in is VERY SMALL. If you want to make money on a car, try rebuild a 67' Mustang.

I have seen a few on Craigslist selling for 1k to 2k with blown head gasket. These would be perfect for the swap.
