I am aware that the SC300,/SC400 front two seats weigh a ton.... I am wondering what light weight matching seats are available for this swap?... I hear you can reduce close to 100lbs with a good seat swap.....Any links and or pic's would be appreciated.... How about the Supra seats do they weigh a ton also?
I just reduced 70lbs off my SC400 and I think I noticed a slight difference........ Another 150LBS reduced with nice performance seats and a CF hood, etc..would be oh so sweet???? ANYONE??
This is the pic of the seats I would like to change?

i've seen a pair of S2k seats in an SC around here, i still have stock SC seats (don'twanna lose my heated ones).
i will say that they aren't really thick enough to look right in an SC, but if you want a lot lighter i don't think you can get a better seat.

Thanks for the info...I need to see what they look like to judge... I hear the matching of the colors is the big problem with seat swaps...

if you got supra seats,
TT driver seat = 54lbs
TT passenger seat = 34lbs
OEM seats, power, heated = 74lbs.
so you'll be dropping some weight but it won't be as big as you think. I for one am saving up right now for some Recaro Sport Toplines and after talking to a dealer, each seat with power function and heating/coolin weighs about 50lbs... so switching the seats only saves 40lbs.... in my eyes tho, i'm more goin for the lumbar support while keeping a luxurious feel rather than try and save weight, i'm moreso limited in taking turns by the lateral g's, being tossed around inside, rather than actually spinning out

basically it's gonna cost a lot because of the leather which makes it a "luxury" item, meaning more taxes. OTD i got quoted 1900 and that's just for one seat... if i went cloth, price would drop down to 1300, and down to 1000 if i got bare minimum, cloth, no power. But i want to keep the power functions just because, it is a lexus, and i dont' want to lose amenities.

Sounds interesting, and at $2000, doesn't seem all that bad! I'd probably pull the trigger if I could get it for $1500...hmm...
