I was sick at looking at my stock taillights, and since i've never seen it done before, I decided to do it myself.
Im not into the whole black on black on black on black on black.........on black thing...
Just the signals..

I noticed the red parts of the lights stand out more.
No regrets here.

nice coloring, red would bring out the tails more
i see that you dont like the black thing but......your wheels are black, your tints are black, your car is black, and your tail is now black; thats black on black on black on black. you just need a black interior

The black on black thing, I meant a black car with completely smoked taillights.
The angle's bad, I admit, but they do look better in person. Ill take another pic at night, when my mom comes back with the camera from her vacation.
First I masked off all the red, and surrounding area. Then I wetsanded the lenses (so the paint can have something to cling on) with 200 grit sandpaper. Cleaned it with laquer thinner, then sanded again with 300 grit sand paper again, laquer thinned again, let it dry off in the sun for a few minutes, and finally sprayed with some JDM smoke spray that I bought at Ultimate Paintball/Motorsports on Hawthorne Blvd. Expensive but well worth it (35 bucks give or take). Once it dried, I buffed it and voila!
I do body work. Ill be glad to do it for any of you guys here, just bring the taillight spray paint (any color of your choice), and ill do it for a small fee.![Big Grin](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

I think it's a little to dark, too.. maybe a shade or two lighter. It is rather unique. I'd also like to see pictures of them lit up, day and night.
