So sorry to hear that. Negotiate with your insurance company and get a better price. They might be giving you less because they're so sure of your story, a hit in run into your garage. But see what you can do. Try to get at least 10+. Then invest your money in perfect body poor operating sc and 1jz swap it. You should have enough. This way, you have more power then your OG SC and now have less milage. GL.

The headache to money ratio is not worth the part out to the average joe who can't DIY or doesn't really have time to. Sounds to me like you might do best selling as a parts car judging by the questions you ask.

Here is my opinion once again:

Take the 7k
sell things for as much as you want, just make a fair price. If you really don't know, then say "make offer" in an ad.

A way you can put things on sale is by craigslist.org
I don't know if they have it in your area, but thats how my friend parted out his Z.

For example (these are just made up prices):

Engine:
800

(or you can part out things on the motor itself)

Rims and tires:
200

Headlight set:
200

2 front seats
300

rear seats
200

cluster gauge
70

cd player
50

tranmission
300

brake calipers
200

doors
300

carpets
30

mirrors
40 each

etc...

As for the motor, I guess you can pull it out yourself and just let the person take it.

So hey Stromer, How exactly did the guy hit it in your garage??
I keep thinking about it but I can't even imagine it, unless the guy literally just went straight for it.
Let us know what you plan on doing.

Selling all that crap is a hell of a lot easier said than done! Lots of tire kickers and flakes. I couldent even give my transmission away!
Good luck anyway bro.

Yeah, you are totally right, I had a bunch of trouble selling those parts on my friend's Z. It was worth it once everything was gone.
