In 2003 the ES300 could be had for as little as $3,000 while most any Sc would still cost you $5500+ with 98+ being well into $13k. Now that 2k9 has came the Sc can be had for $3000 easily with 98+ in the 7500 range. The Sc became the ES, the 2nd gen GS became the SC. The ES forum was a F'n playground of rice as far back as I can recall, the Sc forum evolved into it with the pricing, the fate of the 2GS is not far. I commend anyone still willing to spend money on their SC and treat it like a lady. I quit giving a damn when the price dropped below $3k and equaled most ES3's. I don't look down on anyone not wanting to spend on them anymore, I just think higher of those who do.

I couldn't have said it better. At 71, its time to sit back and enjoy the ride. Years of building and racing sand rails and high speed driving at work filled my need for speed. It does sound nice when I punch it, though! And, by God, it does look nice sitting there in the driveway.

My original goal was to go for a ton of power and doing an engine swap, but then it hit me how expensive a 2JZ-GTE was and it the idea kind of died around the time I bought my car. Now I'm going for a sporty luxury look. I want the car to eventually have the 97+ body kit, but for now I'm focusing on getting the car lowered and redoing the interior. I'll probably get new seats and dye my interior black this summer, unless I can get an NA-T setup done for around $1,000-1,500. Luxury will always come first though considering I drove a bottom of the line Saturn before this.

My goal is to restore the sc300 ,change the color from the jade green to blue or charcoal gray. Lower it 2" and put some 18" rubbers. Also make it run around 375-400hp with the DD turbo setup it have.

Just picked up a white 92 5 speed a few weeks ago. My goals for the sc are a gte swap with a r154 by the end of the summer (keeping my fingers crossed that everything works out) have the car lowered on 18 inch g35 rims wit some bc coils buy end of summer also.
Next summer looking to respray the car with a 97+ body with a lip kit, find a nice set of 19s and start converting the interior to black.
That should b it for the sc but well see war happens down the road

I chose #2, cause, the things that get to me right now are the small niggling interior faults with my car. I use to own, a swapped subie, s14, 2.5rs and i think, like what a lot of people said, i just enjoy cruising and enjoying the lexus right now. I never was that guy who liked to go at it at traffic lights unless it was against frens. I don't care if a civic beats me because at the end of the day, I'm in a lexus, which i love for different reasons, and hes in a civic... something i'd never want to get (as much as i respect hondas). So no regrets, I'm just happy i got a 5 spd.
So luxury for right now!

Reviving this because I never answered it when I first got my car.
Gun metal body, gold 18's, roof spoiler and +97 wing lowered on BC's. Vertex Kit or Team Target Kit, or Big WIn lip kit. Nice reclining bucket seats, and painted CF hood.
Black interior, the JDM digital gauge cluster, and digital on-screen gauges when cops aren't around
and do a r154 manual swap. 2jz-gte and pretty much performance parts to reach just 550 hp or a little more.
I know how hard most of this will be but this is my goal. Haters gonna hate.
And if I was richer, I'd make my car look like the SC that Lexus would've came out with this year as the new gen.

Definitely speed, handling and braking. So far I have two out of three.
The cosmetic restoration has taken precedence now though: recovering my TT seats, replacing the broken upper window trim, new parking brake lever and a 97+ front end and side skirts since the front of the car needs a repaint.
After that, I'll get some TT rear brakes and TRD swaybars installed.
I may never get to the speed part.

I just got my sc300 and although I want to make my car very fast and look sicknasty simultaniously, the power and speed iz definitely more important to me than luxury.
When it comes down to it, Im just in it for the driftboobies

I have been driving Honda trash for 5 long yrs,While my wife has been in a LS 400. I just wanted a nice looking car that didn't rattle. Looked for an SC 300 over a year, found a 93 with 97,000 and I can't get over the RIDE of this car! It's all about the ride
