My SC is still showing off its original paint job (diamond pearl). It certainly could use a repaint, however. A good body shop quoted me ~$3,000 to repair all the dings and nicks and do a complete 3-stage repaint in my color of choice. One of these days...

I can have mine done for cost of paint by my friend who is a mechanic and owns his own shop, provided that I help with the process. We both will work on it and get things done. the car was repainted in 2004 at a Lexus dealer and a factory 1997 wing was installed by the previous (original owner). I bought it from him and he said he wanted a cool spoiler for the car. He also put some ghetto chrome enkei's on it to quote, "help sell the car faster to someone that will be attracted to chrome." lol

I'll be doing a front end respray and full touch up/reclear after I get my 97 front bumper, new 2000 headlights, and Intrepid fogs.

The guy I bought my car from said he had just had a $5k paint job. I had a feeling he was yanking my chain about the price. Now that Ive had the car a few months and had a good chance to look it over, Ive noticed a few air bubbles here and there. Not a $5k paint job.

Paid a "buddy" to respray mine plus fix a fender dent. For $1900 he claimed it would be a show-car job. BE AWARE! You get what you pay for....he ended up getting thrown in jail and my car was stuck locked up in his shop for over a MONTH! I finally had to contact some other guy to get my car back....and its still rough around the edges with pieces missing and some panels don't match! Booooo.......
