In the main motoer that transports the seat back and forth, there is a braided wire with a steel tip on the end of it that is inserted into the motor, and turns the inner mechanism when you turn on the switch. This wire can break, or the tip can break as was in my case...Lexus will tell you you need a new seat, and you do not even want to go there. I took my car to an auto upholstery shop, they removed the wire, I got it welded back for a couple of bucks and they reinstalled it...$25 bucks and my seat works perfectly again...

thanks all,
the motor now works, all i did was hitting on it couples of times and it works, i think it has been sitting for a long time before i bought.

Have the same damn problem. Passenger seat all the way back!!! I have no clicking noise that hints at the motor even powering. I bet its either a fuse that needs to be replaced or theres a short with the motor. Anybody ever experienced one of these problems and find out it was a bad fuse??

Doubt you'll get an answer, hasn't been around since 2012.
Your best bet is to pull out a wiring diagram and see where you can trace the wiring harness to the ECU, or if need be remove the seat and trace the metal cabling to the motor. In the suspension and brakes section someone posted this link, should help you out some. http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/brake...ium=ForumLinks
