Default New sc300 owner needs info

I just bought a 92 lexus sc300 from another member.... the speedo and tach arent working at all not just the lights but they dont move ... anyone else have this issue and know what could be wrong? please be patient with me this is my first lexus/toyota.... I was wondering if anyone can tell me a link to a sc300 service manual? also does anyone know a company that sells carpet for a decent price? i will post pics soon .... J

For the speedo, check the speed cable. Also, I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but check and make sure all the fuses are good.

^^ There is no cable.

The cluster needs to be replaced. burnt lights are no biggie, but the motors are more expensive than the cluster itself, and there is still a huge chance it is the board itself since BOTH do not move.

find a new cluster. You can do it EEEEEEEEBBBAYYYYYYY.

thanks for the info.... i will pull the cluster tomorrow.... is there any way to test the cluster? or motors ? THANKS again .....

well i started the car yesterday and the gauges started working again for the moment.... (i have no clue as to how) but whatever.... i was wondering if anyone knew if the electric fans pull more air than the stock ?

by the way O.L.T you were probably right about the motors..... they were probably stuck from sitting a little while ... or it may have been from the alternator (regulator) problem the car had..
