My New SC400 Just Arrived !
Hey Guys,
Not new to Lexus, just added another one to my Lexus fleet! And of course, it is Diamond White Pearl. Im up here in Minnesota, so the SC's are usually rusty or otherwise beat up. I found this gem in Virginia. She's a 1996 SC400 with 203,000 miles on the ticker. Yep, 203K. I had to have it shipped to Minnesota. But let me tell you this one is mint. Near showroom condition considering the mileage. Paint is glossy, leather is very nice, and engine is pretty darn clean. Even has some nice aftermarket goodies. Previous owner commenced a Soarer conversion. Check it out:
Supra TT wheels
Supra TT steering wheel
Soarer emblems and fender badges
Two-tone leather seat skins
JIC Magic front strut tower brace
Number One stainless cone intake with MAF adapter and heat shield
MagnaFlow mufflers (not just tips!)
Nakamichi
Razo pedal covers (may take these off at some point)
Engine is very strong. It will light up the tires in a cloud of smoke off the line. Not like I do this all the time, but it is a testament to the power of the engine. Tranny shifts perfectly. Ice cold air. Body is perfect. I really got lucky here.

Interior shot.
Note the 2-tone leather seat skins! You can see the pedal covers and the Toyota steering wheel. The steering wheel will be up for sale as I will be installing the OEM leather Lexus stock wheel. Also note the shift surround has been changed to flat black. I really like the 2-tone interior. It sets the car apart from other SC's.
I finally got an SC to join my Lexus fleet. I am glad to be a part of the SC community.

Supra TT Wheels?
I'm pretty sure those are the Supra TT wheels, but I could be wrong. I put my extra set of Lexus centercaps on there since they were missing when it arrived. The current wheels look different than the stock Lexus SC 16" rims. Can someone confirm?
I plan to keep the rims until next year. Yeah, the mismatched emblems don't look very nice. I am debating on what to do since the car has an identity crisis. Is it a Toyota Soarer or is it a Lexus SC400? I will have to decide which way to go and make it consistent.

Very nice looking SC. Those are not TT wheels though. And what is done to the engine to light up the tires in a cloud of smoke? Mine wont dare spin em without some water. But I do have 285's out back. I don't remember if it would with the stock 16" rims and tires.

Yes, you guys are right. I looked them up and they are not the TT wheels (although they look similar). I believe you guys are right, they are GS wheels.
Engine has SuperOne stainless cone intake with MAF adapter and Magnaflow Mufflers. However, I don't think that adds more than maybe 15hp max. My car will spin them off the line just giving it full throttle. However, to makea bigger could of smoke, I stand on the brake, and mash the gas. Tires start spinning causing the rubber to ignite in a nice cloud of smoke and emit a nice loud squeal.
BiZ,
285's in the back is probably why you don't get wheelspin on dry pavement. Try doing a brake stand as I described above. If you still cant smoke 'em, then it is probably due to the wide tires you are running.
Ifrers,
I have a wife and 2-1/2 year old daughter, and 6 week old son. We just have 3 cars. The GS4 is my practical car, and the SC4 is my fun car.

Seat covers came with the car, so I am not sure what kind they are. However, I like the 2-tone look, too.
