Wellll I don't know if anyone else has done this, but basically I smoked (dark) the bottom half of the taillight and left the top part here orange. I think it looks FANtastic, but it might look better if the turn signal portion was red? What do you think of the top part red vs. orange? I think I might paint the turn signal part red tomorrow morning, can't do it now because I don't have anymore masking tape left.

I think this looks CLEAN, and better than all smoked like wildrice09 once had. The turn signal not being smoked gives it a little break from being totally black IMO.

I guess I'll be the first to say I don't like the smoked lights on the bottom or top only.

If you're going to smoke them at all, smoke the whole enchilada. It looks to Mickey Mouse to me.

i agree, but if its between doing top or bottom i like smoking the top only better, and u dont have to deal with the reverse lights either that way

I don't know if I want to smoke the whole light, based on wildrice09s tails, i personally think its TOO much black like that...especially with my black emblems also.

I think you'd be a lot better off going with 95-96 or 97+ tails. I'm not liking the smoked look.

I smoked mine completely except for the reverse lights, looks awesome but Im going to go with 94-95 tails.

Get the 97 Upgrade tails they looks clean, in my opinion, but then again to each his own I don't like smoking tails it gives a very kid like look, sorry I know I am only 23 but I am turning into a old man lol. But whatever you like thats what you should do.

Haha, i had them all red before but got a little tired of that look. I mean this is just a spray tint, its nothing that a rag wet with terpentine cant cure.



I don't have cash to upgrade to new tails, so I'm trying new things with what I've got I'm bound to find something that works. I like this look so I'll rock it till summer ends and I find something new to try

X 2 and I'm not into the black on black... try that with a diferent car color! for now stay with the 95-96 0r + tails if you have a black car IMO...

WOW forget about the 95-96 or 97 for about a year from now, all red looks hot...

Honestly? I think it looks ugly. Painting the top part only looks weird too. Too much black, i'm all black on black but too much black is not good.

Dang...Thats one HOT car!!! LOL. Yea I totally agree, its way too much black for the car. It would look amazing on a white car with black headlight housings, highbeam housings, and fogs as well. Heres what the car looked like with black tails and black emblems.


O...and if anyones interested the tails are no longer black, they were not actually smoked, I only applied cling on tint to get a feel of what it would look like.

Seems like all red is the winner here, I liked that look as well but honestly a little tired of it now. I want anything but STOCK. As for this look, I kind of like it right off the bat, I'm sure i'll grow tired of this soon as well. Thanks for the opinions guys, keep 'em coming!!
