here's why i think the SC will be timeless:

long hood design and short overhangs reminds us of more expensive cars such as aston martins, jaguar coupe and bentley continental. look at muscle cars, all of them have long hood.

no other japanese cars are like that. they always try to make cars more aggressive and wider without really thinking what emotions the car's shape can produce

i look at the Gtr, 350z and i think those cars are butt ugly...sorry but no amount of horsepower can offset how ugly those cars look

I think the SC is a timeless beautiful car, but the ONLY reason that will get me to sell my car within a few years from now is seeing other SCs riced out around town which I have not seen yet. But I plan on keeping my car as long possible because it is just such a nice looking car that still makes me turn around as I walk away from it.

As much as I love my car, sometimes I feel like its too much for me. Obviously not power wise as Im still stock, but more the obligation to take care of such a nice, luxurious car. I feel like Ill have a heart attack the instant I see my first scratch, whereas with my last car I just would have kicked the bumper. lol I guess Id feel the same about any other car in its class though.

I've loved cars, my first car was an old school 67 mustang coupe, and then a 2000 mustang and then my 93 SC300.

Whenever i drive my SC i feel like i'm in an aston martin, or a porshe it makes the 2k mustang feel like a piece of poo. My SC though 7 years older then the 2k mustang has a sense of class and sophistication that i wish could be experienced by everyone who sees it. I just invested slightly over 1k to buy all the parts to make her look like a 97+ because i want it to get the admiration i know it deserves. I look at it and dream about how its going to look with an 08 lexus silver color, and man, for the price i've paid for it, for the feeling i get from it. This car is priceless. and for the fact i bought my 93 5 speed sc300 for 1,800 bucks, and have invested the total to a lil over 3 k, i feel that it is one of the best values out there.

I actually have an S2000 also. I plan on keeping both of them for a long time.

Automotive styling is progressive and distinctive. If someone showed you a pic of a car from say 1985, it would be pretty difficult to not be able to recognize it was an 80s car, even if you didn't know the model or even the make. Generally I've found the following styling periods:

I guess I'll be the first to admit our SCs are starting to show their age. Many people think my car is an 03' or an 04', but that's about how far we can get; pretty impressive considering our SCs debuted back in 1991 when everyone was driving box cars. Now this isn't neccessarily to say our cars can't compete with modern designs. I find a lot of the new car designs to be ugly. Its really up to the individual. Would you want a 1970 Dodge Challenger? There are people out there would would call it an ugly old car, then there are people who would pay over $100,000 for one of them.

So that's my take on it. Its really up to the eye of the beholder. Personally I have no problem telling people my car is 11 years out because I still think it looks better than my friend's brand new Audi A4 or my neighbor's 07' Saab 9-5.
