Default Sitting in the passenger seat is almost Claustrophobic

My wife has an SC400 , when I sit in the passenger seat, I put the seat all the way back and I am unable to extend my legs completely.
In addition, if your feet are extended to the end, which is not fully , you cant lift them without hitting the bottom of the plastic material below the glovebox.
I am only 5'9" , why is this not an issue for most of you guys?
Is there any way to get the seat back further on the passenger side?
Is there a solution?
Thanks

haha, I don't like extending my legs all the way anyways. I felt squeezed in a 5 series (1gen before the current one). You could change the seats (don't know how much good that would do) or what someone suggested to me once (I am tall) is to take out the seat, and rebolt the mounts further back. I don't know how much this will work because I never tried it. Make sure you don't drill into anything important though.

oh please, what do you expect? The SC has a lot of room in the front already. Which other cars can you think of that you can "fully" extend your legs?

I'm 6'1" and I've found the SC to be quite nice for leg room... I've driven from boston to malibu, twice.

You need to recline the seat slightly, but once you do that, everything is a-ok.

Ive noticed that the passenger seat does not have nearly as much room as the drivers seat. However, ive never had any complaints.

i think that the passenger side is a little bit tight for leg room only if your trying to fit someone in the back seat though. i'm about 5'7 - 5'8. but as for having only two people in a car i never had a problem

If you're going to use their slogan, then go buy a Vdub. Personally I have no problems in my SC passenger seat, its just as roomie as the drivers side. Maybe you missed the SPORTS COUPE part of the name....its not suppose to be a sedan w/ uber room, its suppose to be a semi snug fitting car.

I don't think the passenger's seat is the most comfortable but I'm not complaining I'm 6'4" too... I still have yet to find a car with a better back seat though! I choose to ride back there sometimes with the passenger seat all the way up when I let my brother drive or something try it, I'm not crazy.

oooh c'mon mark, it's called humor, it's a beautiful thing, try it sometime. You don't always have to project those negative waves!

But back on topic, are you sure you aren't actually Claustrophobic? I've found even in the passenger seat that I've got plenty of room.

If we want to talk claustrophobic, we can talk about the back seat though.

but I digress, back to my search for an air-cooled beetle to drop my 2JZGTE into.

PS: I'm friends with a Pepperdine b-ball player who's 7' and he fits in my SC just fine.... just crank that seat back, way back

I think people miss my humor and take it as negativity. Its like the million and a half times I've called the SC a pos, its just misplaced love.

Default OK are you trying to make me crazy??????????

OK, after reading your responses, I went back out to the car. Cause I wanted to validate my original issue.
FACT: Front Floor of the SC400 PASSENGER side IS 5"-6" shorter than the driver side.
I just sat in both.
So, now, how do I remove the front floor and drop it a few inches...........just kidding!

Try sitting in the passenger seat. You will see

There's less leg room on the passenger side because the ECU is under the carpet there. If you REALLY wanted a few extra inches of room and you had ALOT of free time you can try moving it elsewhere. . . . Or you could take out the front seat and sit in the back, lots of legroom.
