Attempted theft of my baby...a little help here
Last week I came out to find that my SC had been broken into and tried to be taken - luckily it was amateur hour, as the a'holes tried to jimmy the ignition with one of my old house keys. It broke off and the attempt was foiled. HOWEVER, they did manage to bust my door lock, my interior luggage valet lock (between the gas cap release and trunk release) and my exterior trunk lock cylinder.
Problem: The trunk release no longer works from the inside and the exterior lock is junk. Is there a way to get the back seats out so I can get to the trunk release?
Thanks.

Yeah that does suck but atleast they didn't know what they were doing and you still have your car.
I really don't belive that you can get into the trunk from inside because thats where our gas tanks are, behind our backseats. And i'm pretty sure I read somewhere in another thread that we don't have trunk releases in the trunk anyway,I could be wrong on that though.

Yeah this is pretty rediculous. Thieves who get cought in the act trying to steal from me will usually never get far. Im sorry to hear about your car. Yeah it seems like it is going to be pretty tough to get into your trunk since there is absolutely no way of getting to your trunk through the back seats. What I recommend you do is get the trunk release replaced and then work from there. Even if the lock is from the outside is jammed you should still be able to pop it open using the inside release. Oh, I used to think the the SC as break-in-proof until I saw it on an insurance companies' list of most broken into cars. It was mainly the pre 97 SCs.
