Default 94 SC - What should I do first?

Well, I've had my 94 SC300 for about a year and a half now, but my wife had been driving it till recently. I decided I wanted a nice project car and that this would do me well.
My mother had this car for about 8 years prior, so I know it's been babied.

It may just be me, as I've driven faster cars before, but I just turned 100k mi and it seems like the car is kinda tired. What's the first thing that I would want to do to wake it up?

My order of importance is this; Engine (cause w\o the engine, what do you really have)(no major mods, just want pep for now), misc interior pieces, then wheels, suspension, and paint all at the same time (even though it's a project car, I don't like driving around in a car that looks like one), then stereo system. It's pearl white, so the paint and body is going to cost me a pretty penny. I'm not going to do any aftermarket body panels or anything, just lower it a little and give it a nice, clean look.

Any input as to what kind of things I should do / avoid? I'm very handy and have most of the tools, so i'll be doing most everything myself. I just need to know what people think about chips, pullies, intakes, suspension (not racing), etc...

Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Chris

Tune up as batmobile stated...this includes Spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap and distributor rotor, flush all fluids, clean the throttle body and replace the air filter.

for everything, just search man...we have everything covered here.

Bat / NY,
Thanks for everything. Those picures are awsome and I agree about the lip. I just don't want to change out the bumpers and such. I'm trying to keep the classy look, not as much race / street.
I changed out the plugs, wires, cap, and rotor about 3 months ago, and the coolant this past weekend. I'm going to try to clean the throttle body and replace the air filter this weekend and run some injector cleaner / octane booster through it too.
I figure this is a good start.
Thanks for all of the input and feel free to keep it coming. I'll keep you posted.

Chris

Maybe you want to try Seafoam? when I do my next scheduled maintanence I am going to try it on my 94 SC3, I also have to change spark plugs...got any tips?

If you want the classier look, you can go with a 97+ front bumper...they look great as well, but so does the 92-94 with the SC4 lip.

What's Seafoam? Is that for cleaning the throttle body?

As for the spark plugs... Yes, a couple pieces of advice. The first, and most obvious, don't do it when the engine is hot.
Spend the extra money and buy the Bosch Platinum +2's or, even better, the +4's. They're considerably more expensive, but VERY worth it. I can't even tell if the motor is running when I'm idling, it's so smooth.
Get an angle attachment (like a U-joint) for your socket wrench. You're going to want it for plugs 3 and 4.
Last, and most important; Make SURE that you don't have any dirt or debris in the channel where the plugs are located. It's VERY easy for stuff to fall into the cylinder.

Have fun with it and thanks again for the info!

Heh... Thanks Batmobile!
While the car in the first pic is AWSOME, I still think I'm going to stick w\ stock.
Good job trying to bring me over to the dark side though.

I see... I'm going to pick up a few cans of this stuff and some cheap plugs... AND oil... and try this tomorrow evening or this weekend.
I'll let you all know on this thread how it worked out for me. (But I'm not trying to turn this thread into another Seafoam thread.)
Thanks!

Batmobile, did you spray paint the lip black? On my Midnight Ingigo Pearl, the lip is like a bluish color.. im wanting to get that flat black look.

Every SC I've seen has a black lip....I haven't seen a color keyed front lip unless someone had it painted.
