I have a black 1997 lexus sc300 and always wonder what this was on my windshield.

My 96 doesnt. Looks like an aftermarket alarm antenna.

it's definitely aftermarket cuz i too have a black '97 sc300 and there is no such thing in my car

are you using the aftermarket alarm? if not....just take it off.

My first SC 3 had a similar device. It was part of an early GPS tracking system that is no longer in buisness. Sort of like Lo-Jack. I found the rest of the system burried behind the drivers seat.

my car is currently uses a stock car alarm, who knows it could be a tracking device. Whenever I have time, i'll see where the wire leads to.

i so went pass that already, i guess its broken. if i go back to 1955 i would have the coolest ride.

Mine has a microphone thingie on the left hand side,by the top of the a-pillar that I have no idea what the hell it is.
