Light in the dash on, lost my manual
Ok guys, I seem to have misplaced my owners manual. Once in a while this light comes on, then flickers off. It looks like an oil lamp with a wavy line underneath it. I can not remember what this lamp is for, for the life of me.

It looks like an oil lamp....it comes on in the middle of the speedo where it is OBVIOUSLY seen...perhaps the oil is low. let's put 2 and 2 together here
Try to avoid the idiot light in the dash, this usually means your dipstick won't read anything if you try to check the oil, which = your oil reservoir is more than halfway depleted., which = bad.

in addition to the above advice, get a new owners manual courtesy of lexus via this thread

I've been checking the oil level, and its fine. So either the sender is on its way out, or I have a fault in the wiring some where. The little wavy line beneith it kept making me think it was something other than just low oil. Thanks for the help guys.

it may be worth checking out the wiring at the sensor end ,connections etc clean with something like metholated spirit and lubricate with an electrical lubricant , elvalube or such like, the fault you are indicating points to an open circuit either in the wiring or in the sensor its self, i'm assuming an open circuit as i would think the circuit would be arranged to fail safe.
