Default Hi new names Vik

Ok, Guys hopefully i will receive a warm welcome from you all. I currently drive an 03 Cadillac Escalalde on 22's. Exhaust, Grill and am looking to sell it in hopes on building up an SC300. Some of my fellow club members are on these forums under the IS and GS area's. Anyways, I am located in So Cal and would love to meet up with you guys, drink a beer, look at cars, work on them, clean them etc etc. I am always down to chill and hang out. I need a car back in my ilfe and I really want one of these.

Here is what i am thinking of doing once i get the car, or a few months after i buy her. I want to do it all at once.

Widebody/Fender flares- have not seen either that i really love. Pics anyone?
Rims-Mesh style. 19*9 front or 8.5, 19*10/11 rear.
Paint.
Kit of course. again seen many that i like, need to go to an SC meet to see in person.
Interior-Bride seats. CF accesories.
Stereo-Full Fiberglass
Motor-supra swap, small mods. but more for show.

I have no idea about this car, as i just decided this is my next project. I really welcome any and all input. Links etc. I spent about 3 or 4 hours searching the site last night, excellent stuff and will be on here more.

Aim- Integline
Old car- http://www.teamsolo.net/memberDisplay.asp?solo_id=8 from a few years back. maybe some of you have seen it recently.

Again thanks for the warm welcome in advance, and please do not hate me for asking stupid questions. i just like to know everything before i get into it.

Lexus Love

Parents have a 05 LS and 06 RX 400h.
brother has Camry. Uncle has 3 lex's. basically our family is converting over to the toyota/lexus family.

Bat, i agree it is addicting. I have been modding cars here and there since i was 14. took my moms suburban threw a flowmaster on it. She hated it, but i loved it. then did some little things here and there to other cars. My integra was the sickest thing i ever did but it was a headache. I am now ready for the sleepless nights and everything else involved with tuning again.

Come on cali guys, show me some love and lets meet up.

Good! I hate SUV's...lol. Damn rolling elephants...

Anyways man, welcome. What area are you in? We have a good SoCal SC crew so I'm sure you won't feel lonely. I'm near LAX just so you know. Hit me up whenever and ask as many questions as you like. Most stuff you can find a quick answer to by using the search feature at the top of the screen. Read tons of threads before you buy anything and get ready to be broke!

Happy motoring bro.

PS-we have a "CL of Southern California" section on the forum that you might want to check out.

Welcome to CL.

I guess you need to get an SC first! There are always good SC's to be had so keep your eyes
out and get ready to jump on a good one as soon as you see it. There are a lot of guys who
are coming around to seeing the timeless beauty of the SC.

They folks here are very knowlegeable and there is a wealth of info at your fingertips, just try
to use the SEARCH feature first. I'm sure any questions you may have have been answered
here at one point in time.

Welcome to the club Vik. If you are in the 626 area, some of the SC guys on this forum and I we plan to hang out at I-cafe in arcadia every friday night around 9pm -12. Plus, there a 240's meet there too. If you're interested drop me a PM. I'll give you all the details.

gentlemen, thanks for the welcome. hopefully all works out and i can get into one of these.

Haha, currently i am a student at UCI, so as far as doing all the mods at once, probably not. But typically i like to do a show car all at once.

If i am going to to paint i would wait until after motor swap so I could paint the engine bay, but before that i need to get wheels and suspension, so that i get correct offsets and sizes to fit the body.
So the first mods would be shoes, then suspension, kit, paint. That would HOPEFULLY all be odne at same time, if i can get the SC.

I work for a company called www.cutco.com if you need anything let me know, and i sell stuff on ebay. one's junk is another treasure.

I will search as much as i can.

Don't get me wrong i can appreciate the work that went into it, but why...I'll never understand the show car fascination with this hot, cheap, terriblely bright, and boinging sounding material.

" If you ride by my house on your loud azz Harley anytime after 10pm I'm liable to peel your cap. Seriously."

I've been shot at for taking a **** on the side of the road in this small backwoods town in Miss. before what is with people....
I'm not a fan of brightly colored show cars either, lol. It's just that if you've seen one Escalade on huge azz rims you've seen them all, turn on MTV or BET and you can see tham all day long. IMO that requires no creativity. You buy the expensive SUV and throw some large rims on it and that's it, you're done. That's not my style at all.

If you lived where I live and had to deal with these idiot Harley riders you'd completely understand where I was coming from. When your 5 year old daughter comes running and screaming out of her bedroom at night because it seems like the house is going to come tumbling down from the roar of 75 Harley's going by then you'd see...but alas, that's my pain...and I'll have to deal with it

Perhaps you were whizzing on private property?...it happens

Vik, good luck with the project.
