manual sc300s

not positive but thats what I've been told and read on these boards and other boards of info...
I do know the ODBII 5-speed auto 97-99s weigh a bit more than a ODBI 5-speed manual 92-96s...
but every magazine that i've seen specs for the 92-96 SC300; it was quoted as weighing around 3550lbs
while the SupraTT weighs around 3490-3500

Ive got a 5spd SC300. Sometimes when people see it they are like "Wow, a manual lexus! I didn't know they made them." As far as I have heard it was something like 3% of production, and I am almost sure, as someone said before, that 97 was the last year of production. Also they made 5spd ES250s (remember those?) and ES300s for awhile.

Well if you can get this, my brother in laws, brother in law's dad either owns or is the top notch guy next to owner at performance lexus in cincinnatti, ohio. Anyways they all drive around in SC 430's and all that, but he does have a 92 dark green SC 300 with a manual tranny and about 115,00 when i drove it last time i was out there. He has 16" GS 400 rims on it and its a nice car with heated seats and all that. the leather was only minorly worn, more just a little dry. He is goin to be buying a brand new IS 300 5 speed here really soon and he offered to sell me his SC 300. but i will pass it on to you guys if wanted i could talk him into selling it on here. I think he would take the best offer, amybe 11-12k, im not sure about price.

I've got a '92 SC 300 with manual transmission that I am thinking about selling. It has 99,500 miles and in excellent condition. With no leather or sunroof, I'm thinking about $10,500. Located near Atlanta. Email if interested...davidp@safeaccess.com
Thanks,
David.

I got mine from a private seller... He originally bought it in NY, but moved down to Miami later. I was wondering WHY so many seem to be from Miami, especially on ebay.
I used to live in El Paso, TX, where there were TONS of the old '82-'87 (not sure if I got the years right) Buick Regals. I read somewhere that those generation Regal/Monte Carlos were among the top 10 stolen cars back then, and with El Paso right on the US-Mexican border, I'm sure a lot of the stolen ones went to Mexico, and then maybe got sold back into the US. As I travelled around the country back then, I never saw such a high concentration of Regals as I did in El Paso.
Maybe I'm just being paranoid, but I wonder if something similar is going on with the SCs and Miami. Or maybe just the style-conscious Miamese happen to like the SC for the gorgeous looking car that it is.
