Default Wood Steering Wheel upgrade

Finally, done.
With long time waiting, researching, searching, and shopping. (Thanks CL member for helping me "AutocoutureSC")
It is done, finally. I am very happy with it.

Color matches very well. Looks very good. Oh and,,,,,,,,, It feels very nice. (tighter hangling feeling). It makes that interior looks at least 3 to 5 years younger.

I am selling a same steering wheel with black leather. Check out Classified ad.

Very nice upgrade...
However, I seem the wood finish on the wheel and dash don't match... or is that the lighting.

Thanks all.

Wheel is from 2003 ES300. Plug and play.

You can not use old SC airbag. You have buy a single stage airbag to go with it.

Wood color on wheel is darker, but since SC wood is dark also anyway. It doesn't look that bad at all.

Default Installation is easy

The installation was the easiest part. Thanks again, Lee. Took me 30 min max. (I took time to be extra careful). It should take only 20min.

All you need is wood steering wheel (Costs around $150-250)
Single stage air bag (around $300- $500) This is the hard part. Finding a single stage air bag with Tan color is time consumming part. You have to be patient and search hard. (eBay or Junk yard, etc.)
You need an air bag wire harness adapter ($25) Toyota part that needs to be specially ordered.

What is the part # for the airbag adapter that you purchased. Might be good for future reference.

Finding the right airbag is the hardest part in ANY color. Also, what really helps is if u borrow the steering wheel puller from Kragens.

That is definitely a younger and up to date look. Very clean, Awsome job. I might try this up sometime in the future. Does the ES steering wheel come in other colors? I'm thinking black. This way when I decide to dye my interior black, it will all match up.
