Thank for the props guys!
I'm going to try and work on a few more things, maybe do the plexi over again, smooth things out alittle more.
Cost
Let's say you have all the tools already....
$50 for parts
Time
Four days, maybe 3 hours a day.
Day one
take apart, dremel, epoxy
Day two
sand and paint
Day three
Plexi and epoxy
Day four
sand and paint
As for the plexi, I used a 1.54mm, try to get it as thin and flexible as possible. I'm not sure where to get it in Cali. I have a friend with a shop here in Hawaii.
Just remember to heat it so it no longer has any stress trying to make that bend.

Looks really good, lots of work though. Is the plex-glass UV treated? I would imagine Hawaai would have similar concerns to us here in Sydney Australia, the sun bakes clear plastic until it turns yellow or clouds....

Hey man, awesome job and props for having the devotion and the ***** to do it haha. Now im wondering if maybe there is another way of modifying the tails. In this picture:
There are 3 pieces, do YOU think it would be possible to just discard the upper piece, fill in the reverse light part with plexiglass and then to either 1) paint/vinyl the bottom half red, or 2) leave the bottom half clear?
