There are 3 pieces, do YOU think it would be possible to just discard the upper piece, fill in the reverse light part with plexiglass and then to either 1) paint/vinyl the bottom half red, or 2) leave the bottom half clear?
Thanks

i was thinking the same thing until you realize that the inside white portion is too skinny and inward to fit in with the body of the car, as you can see in this pic, the top half:
if it was already flush, he wouldn't have to bother puttin a layer of plexi over it. i also wish there was an easier way

Can you reverse the pieces? ... put the clear one (with some mod) outside. Cut the yellow one first before putting it inside the clear one ... to make sure that more light can be seen and the thickness won't change.

I'll post some blinker shots tonight. It lights up nice an bright.
scrock, not following you on the thickness part...are you refering to the white top to bottom height? or thickness or the light as a whole?
If you're refering to the height, I did think of another way of doing the mod...place a piece of light cover (florecent lighting) between the plexi and 2nd lens (the all white piece) that might work also.
Klaus1JSC, sorry It's still in the beginning stages and I wouldn't be comfortable charging someone when it's not up to my standards.

That's what I meant. The yellow pieces already have the curve that matches that of the white pieces. If you professionally cut the inner part of the yellow piece (to allow more light, and maybe replace that cut-out part with a piece of light cover as you said), and stack them together, you probably have an interesting-looking lens while maintaining the height and the strength (it would be even nicer if the lenses go out a bit).
One may attempt to do this mod before thinking about replacing the lenses with 97+'s.
