GS wheels on a '92 300???
I'm looking at getting a set of OEM GS wheels from a member here on CL. Theyre off of a '98 GS and he thought they were 17x8 with a +38 offset. Can someone verify these #'s and also verify fitment on a '92 SC? It would be real cool if someone has pics of an SC with these wheels that I could see. Thanks in advance for the help

using search is what's really cool. try it.
and to answer your question, yes they fit ("fit" as in the bolt patterns are the same, not "fit" as in look right on the SC, IMO that is).

I'm not new to the forum....so the smart remarks can be turned sidewayz and shoved somewhere. I usually successful at what i need to find and always search before posting. This time that wasnt the case. Being cooperative instead of being a smart*ss would be really cool too. So if you know of a post that answers my question feel free to share it. That would have taken just as much time as posting your smart remark!!

I know the bolt patterns are the same....it was width and offset that i was questioning. I do appreciate your opinion of them "not" fitting as far as on an SC goes, still would like to see a pic though. Do you think they tuck too far or whats your feelings? These are going to be my winter wheels.....i just cant stand the factory fan blade wheels or whatever people call them. Those are hideous!!!

To answer your question, yes the GS wheels will fit. Mikeloc24 is being
a smart *** because he's a veteran here and this question is asked all
the time.
But he's right, you can easily search for it. I'll show you how and try
not to be a smart *** about it:
1. Click on the search link >> click ADVANCE SEARCH
2. Type in GS400 wheels
3. Select the SC300/SC400 forum in the white box on the right
4. Hit SEARCH
5. Look seven link down and you'll see "GS400 wheels on my SC"
6. Click on it. DONE! Then you see this.

...beautiful, those are gorgeous....i've been looking for a set of GS rims for awhile now, and i thought i was going to buy alloy and skip the chrome....but now your sc might have swayed me the other way. I wonder what the chrome would look like on the sandstone color.
thanks for sharing, joe
