My car had 4" in the rear deck, and a 10" sub. Did your car also have a factory sub? Maybe they give you 6.5"ers when they don't put a sub in?

Yeah, I have the 10" sub. The computer at Circuit City and Best Buy said 6 1/2" rears.

4" sounds too small.

Has any one changed just the front spakers and kept the Nakimichi head unit? What is the truth about the sound of the speakers vs. the oem premium sound Nak. speakers?

Well I know on a 93 with the Pioneer stereo, they're 4"ers in the rear deck. That's mine. I can't speak for any others...but I doubt they would actually make a different rear deck for ear car?

Wiz, the rears are 4" just as you said. I guess the 6 1/2" can fit as the computer stated in Circuit city and Best buy...

What about sound?

There's no way 6.5's would fit back there....

CircuitCity's computer said my GF's Tracer should have 6x9's in the back. Nope...they were 6.5"s. I don't trust their puter too much!

I actually removed the rear speakers...dont need rear stage....I don't much care for the sound in the back...I don't sit there They were being pushed too much by the air the subwoofers in the trunk was moving....so I pulled em out.

If you dont seal the enclosure after going to the 5 1/4, it will defeat the purpose of having the enclosures. I will look for a wrecked SC and get some enclosures that I can mod to fit a 5 1/4. But, I will want it to be sealed like it was a 4. As far as speakers, for me it was between Diamond and MB Quarts. Both are good speakers for the money.
Did you have to replace the tweeters with the 4" MB's?
I got the same speakers, but want to keep the stock tweeters.
Is it possible?

Plus, I need more info on how to take off the door panel off of a sc4. The first page doesn't state where the screws are located...and the link above leads to some wrong page i think...
