Body Kits-Bumper reinforcement
Does this sound right to anyone.
"The bumper reinforcement almost always is removed if the car is been
into an accident and 80% of the time on a perfect car. Im not exactly
sure with the sc300 but I would assume yes you would have to remove it.
It also depends on the skill of the body shop you take it to, ive seen
some technicians do some awesome work with fiberglass, and have
customized kits to keep the reinforcement bars"

sounds like youve asked a question about installing an aftermarket bumper?
Get a second opinion.
People typically take out the foam cores when installing aftermarket fiberglass bumpers. Why? They dont 'give and flex' like OEM SC bumpers...so the foam isnt gonna help much if you bump into sumthin sometimes people when just shave it a bit to make it fit...if you REALLY want it in there.
if its not replaced after an accident (when using OEM parts) take it back to them to get the car restored to spec. or file a complaint.

Yes, should have posted with more info. It is a body kit that the mfg. says is "bolt on". Price for front, rear and skirts is $1,000. My other choice, the one I'm leaning towards, is the Veilside but after searching I cannot find any info on the bumper reinforcment. Is it also removed or because its so close to OEM it fits exactly like the original.
