MIA explanation and update
So I haven't been posting very often in the past month or so. I've been organizing a trip to Japan and I'm finally ready to leave on Monday. Originally meant to be vacation but now it's like 20% vacation and 80% content development for the industry. Whether I sleep or not is yet to be determined but the trip should be fun regardless.
So my car....yeah....my car....well sunday my family was takign me out to dinner for my birthday when disaster struck. My 200,000+ engine gave out. Think it's the headgasket. Regardless, it's not likely worth to rebuild....
So that 1J vvt-i i wanted to swap seemed like it was going to happen real soon until I found all the local places that had them in stock wanted about 4 times what they're worth in Japan. No luck there so I decided to source my own when I came across this...
Freshly rebuilt and balanced 1j with T67 setup, 550cc injectors, trust bov, trust 3 row IC, and HKS F-Con....550hp and built by auto service Mori. (one of the legendary Japanese tuners who hasn't seen much exposure outside Japan) It only has 12000km on it so while it's broken in already, it's still fairly fresh.
It was on auction in Japan yesterday....and now it's mine!! mine!!! all mine!!! muahahahahaha...eh err I mean, I won the auction. Now I need a beefier tranny hehe. So while my car is out of comission and I'm off to Japan, some things are in motion to bring it back from the dead with a bit of a kick
I may have strayed from the vvt-i concept but if you saw how much I paid, you'd understand my motivation

Blown headgasket...foooOOOO
Sounds like it will be a monster and put those monster wheels and tires you have on your car to work! Please bring back a couple Supra 6sp transmissions and rear ends.
