Default New 1995 Sc300 w/ 5 Speed Owner

Hello,

I recently picked up an 95 SC300 w/ 5 speed from an older guy. My plans for the car is to go with a single turbo setup (T61). I'm by no means new to the game, I currently have a 95 mirage w/ a 4g63(evo 3 motor) swap, the car made 3XX whp and is 2000#'s (Operation Wheel Spin), I also work for HorsepowerFreaks.com Here are a few pics.

Thanks,

Michael

Welcome to CL to fellow Washingtonian.
I've met Ed this morning, we talked about NA-T SC300 and glad to see more SC owners in Vancouver area.
We should have mini meet soon.

Yea I went to school with ED. This car will get a huge upgrade once i sell my 4g63 mirage. Tell then the little things will have to be changed. It looks like the struts are bad, they squeek a little. Also I have a wierd thing (possible throw out bearing) when I push in the clutch the noise stops, when i leave the clutch engaged you can hear a slight noise, it's wierd. I haven't really had time to mess with it. Other then those 2 things the car is awesome, it's by far the best car i have owned. I'm a DSM guy.. so i've owned about 15 DSMs heh. POS cars.

Its strange that you mention this, because my car as that same sound problem. Yeah, lube problem spun out and messed up the bearing. clutch still engages and disengages fine. Even with some agressive driving.

Congrats on the new car. If you plan two sell your stock rim caps, I'd be interested. =)

Congrats. I recently picked up a 96 pdw that looks almost exactly like yours.

The squeek may be from your control arm bushings. My 95 auto used to squeek too until I replaced my bushings with Daizen ones. When I bought my 96, one of the struts was out, but it made a clunking noise.

It's operation wheel spin. It's nothing like the 1000hp Supra we have at work, or the 600hp evo, but it's a fun car heh.

Here is a sneek peak of the new supra setup =) GT47.

HPF GT47 Merge Collector

This intercooler is so wide, that it actually takes two 3-row sized cores to build it. You can see the seam in this picture.
