Headlights fixed, NOT
Well i read the forum about how to take you light apart and clean the lens' and the housing. well did everything that it told me to and everything went nicely, then a few days later (to let the silicone dry) when i washed it guess what, more condinsation on the headlight , dang, what did i do wrong? i put everything back the way i found it and also checked the little filters and put sponges just to make sure they worked. does anybody know what i could have missed, and should i do it again.

perhaps there was still moisture inside?..i would take them apart again and this time use a hair dryer to make sure it's nice and dry..then seal them back with extra silicon oozing out..also when you say you washed them you installed them and washed them on the car right? cause you don't want to go watering the backside no matter how careful you are

You don't need to open them up anymore because they are leaking. The headlights dry themselves out very well especially when you turn them on.
A good idea would be to remove them and inspect them very carefully. Make sure there are no cracks in the back housing. Check to make sure the bulbs seat good.
If all checks out, run another bead of sealant around the entire light.
If a single carwash is leaking into your light it's a pretty big leak. You might have a crack or another major problem like a gap in the Toyota gray sealant.

I still have the same problem after so many attempts at fixing it. We found out that air wasnt leaking from the seal around the housing, but actually from the rubber part that goes over the back of the bulb area. Apparently it has a small hole somewhere that allows water to pass through, because we have siliconed every other hole closed and tripple checked everything.

I guess i will do it again, I will also check for cracks and holes. Quick Question, i put the silverstar headlights in and it seams as though they don't turn as far as the original ones, could that be a problem? as far as washing the car goes, I used a moist cloth to clean the housing and only when the headlight was sealed and back into place did i wash the car including the headlight.

...and use something OTHER than plain azz silicone. Use the weather sealant they use to install windsheilds or something weatherproof. Plain silly-cone will leak again in time...especially that clear crap
