I'm sure many of you have been in the same awkward situation of pulling up next to another SC or nice car. How do you say, "Hi" or "Nice car..." without looking like a tool? Or if they're staring at your car, obviously admiring it, what are you supposed to do?

I've always wondered this... Is there something accepted among everyone, etiquette maybe? There's etiquette for everything right? I wonder what they do in Japan...

What do you guys think?

i already told u, i generally try to BOV at em , but around here i really only see old ppl driving em, so i just watch to see if they even notice i have the same car

haha.... well considering most people driving a lexus would look at my car and be like "WTF did he do to that thing" i dont really say anything... i think im the only guy in tow whos involved in modifying one....but i definatly notice everyone i see and mostly old guys or ladies are driving them

Some old guy chased after me in his 97+ SC, with his wife in the car.. I looked over as he waved franticly to get my attention and ask, "Is that a 300 or 400? What kind of exhaust is that?? It's NICE!". Meanwhile his wife had an embarrased look on her face.
Anywho, I gave him an answer as well as a thumbs up. And we cruised down the street.

I don't know what is around my area but everyone else I see driving a SC besides the people I know give me a weird/mean look. I guess having the soarer badge on the back doesn't help.

so far I've seen 2 non CL member SC's
~first was driven by a 120y.o. Chinese lady...no clue if she even knew she was on the road.
~second was a total "tool" who made a point to get in front of me, and then gets blocked in traffic...I casually went around him in the open lane...with the finger out the window...I guess that's saying "Hello"

~One time Chris (Chicago moderator) drives by my girlfriend and I. I'm like "Oh there's Chris." As he drives by with his 600 and whatever HP 2JZ-single turbo setup. My girlfriend's like "Wow, his sounds waaayy better than yours."
Talk about a kick to the 'ole' beanbag!!!

...My gf knows better than to say another car is better than mine.... while in the passenger seat... I'd maker her *** walk home.

I look straight ahead and pull up my 5% tinted windows when I see people looking at my car. Then I proceed to drive ahead a little faster then normal.

very few sc owners here in fresno under 46 so i try not to bother them.

I have to agree with everyone, that the other people with SC's (in my town) are older people so they dont really care about me .

Saw an older lady in a pearl white(same as mine) SC400('92-'94) rip around to get next to me and then gave me the thumbs up and was yelling "nice car!!!" meanwhile she had her daughter and her friend int he car who were as red as ripe apples (they were probably 16) haha. She ended up being the one to punch it up the hill we drove up too.... to whomever that is.... i salute you!
