Default Wondering your thoughts on route takin

Im a college student, so money is a LIMITED resource However, there's little that can keep me away from making my car the way i see fit.

With that, i was wondering your guys thoughts. I can continue to save up for the gte swap, or start on my 00 conversion, rims and coilovers. What would you do in my situation.

I think you should rims and suspension first off, maybe some window tint also. Don't do the 00 conversion yet.

By doing this, you'll still have stunning visuals with the rims/suspension/tint and 92-94 body style, and you'll also save the 2k its gonna cost to do the 00 conversion and you can put that towards your power goals.

go with the rims and springs first if the engine is fine why bother with a swap .get your miles worth off the original engine and swap it out when you have too

I started off with a K&N intake, then custom exhaust, suspension, wheels, and tint. Later on Na-t or TT swap.

id rather have the car presentable and be confortable inside first then go ***** out power...

or i could have just swapped in a stock 2jzgte and blow all my bank on that have stock 320 rated hp and have no AC stock height, nasty wheels, no stereo... thanks but no thanks

i had my fun with high hp cars already... but in my honda... amd around here i never even used 600 something hp in my car so whats the point

Thanks for all your help. I think i should explain that, I'm trying to stay street legal in California. We have a problem going on right now, where ALL modifiied cars are getting our hoods poped, and getting impounded. So the only swap i was gonna do was the 2jz, which equates to no less than 5k. (already got quotes). My car is in great condition. The wheels aren't the stock turbine wheels though, I forget which they're from, but it's solid chrome, looks like a disc .
So I was thinking for wheels , I was thinking of the hp evo's or at least that look, but it's hard finding the specs you want, cause I think they only sell on ebay.

Also, One thing that is the worst of all is, it's so hard to get used to driving an automatic. Do you think it would be benefical to just do the W58 swap, since the 6 speed is almost as much as the engine, or just try buying a white 5 speed?

I'm kinda in the same boat as you dude, I'm a college student and itching to do mods to mine. Mind you though my previous and current Soarers were both fitted with 1JZGTE motors (one's the usual twin turbo, my current is the updated VVTi single turbo).

With my old Soarer I started off with wheels and suspension just for looks. Then I started tinkering with the motor (exhaust, blow off valve and aftermarket filter) and that did me fine until I sold it. With my current car I'll probably do the same once my accident damage is fixed.

If you want to make it a sleeper I reckon fit the 2JZGTE (or 1JZ) and mate it up to the factory auto gearbox and exhaust system. No one will even know you've done a swap

If its not running as good as it should be running, then go boost. If its running fine, go for suspension/rims.

Just remember you can always get cheap rims and a cheap system and a cheap everything and still be presentable. But the 2JZGTE is not going to be anywhere near cheap. A 1JZ may be a different story.
