Thanks so much, PWR mode it is then. And yes, the detector does work, the front and back modes are nice and a freebie with the car is certainly always welcome.... I'm in Tampa btw. So I'm in central Florida, although I spent 2 years in Ft. Lauderdale in 1997 and 1998 living *just* outside of the actual downtown buildings on the laseolas (spelling) side out from that undergorund tunnel and the bmw dealership on the right hand side just after on US1.

As it happens, though - life being what it is, I might actually have to sell the golden chariot!! My fiancée’s job (an engineering firm here in Tampa) is going down the crap hole faster than we can count the problems and he first payroll check just bounced on her so tough times ahead it looks like. The problem is not my income of course but the fact that the both of our money flows are so tightly tied together with the automatic bill pay and all this *futuristic* bank account jazz... Just having dropped all those thousands in liquid on my wonderful new SC400 will put us in a pretty pickle should she find herself jobless in a week or so. :/ Talk about timing!

Cross your fingers for me because I really don’t want to sell this beauty this fast out of need. Who wants to have to do that?!

Would you want to move to Chicago.
I have a pretty good "In" for engineers at Sargent and Lundy...worse case scenario of course.

I use to live in the St. Pete/Tampa area. I lived on Gulf Blvd in Belleair Beach...Just down from all the high-rises and condo communities.
Miss the sunsets and the smell (salty gulfy smell) not drunky pukey Clearwater smell.

Sucks about your situation, dude. Your car looks clean. It's nice how cars out here in SoCal and Florida stay looking nice without as much effort. No snow or ice (ie. salt) to deal with.

Hopefully, you find a way to keep your car. That radar detector looks pretty stealth. I like that you wouldn't notice it right away. how does it work?

sorry to hear about your fiancee's job situation. i know some recruiters in florida that might be able to get her a job with another engineering firm (depending on what type of engineer she is).
i was also wondering what exactly is "drum n bass music". living in south texas, i havent really been exposed to all the new trends.
i hope everything works out for you and you get to keep your ride.

Thanks N!!!

All returning to prior goodness. Working back in Manhattan again. Once Colette and I get the new PC at home I will return to my old late night habits.

Have faith CLRH. Even if the ride must go now........you can still pick up another when finances dictate.
