Default mysterious water leak fix!!!!

hey gang, I had a water leak in the rear of my car(trunk, rear driver side seatbelt, and behind rear seats) for a while, and for the life of me i could not figure out where the heck it was coming from. Out of sheer frustration I ignored this problem for a while until it became unbearable for two reasons: The old smell of stale water and mildew caught my interest(and allergies) right away ,as well as the fact that water started finding it's way to my trunk mounted amps. at this point my tolerance level for this problem went out the window and I tore the rear interior apart and commenced the hunt for this destructive culprit....I had my mechanic run water from a garden hose all over my car while I was in the trunk with a flashlight inspecting all corners and crevices for the water demon...initial result?...no luck.
I then proceeded to open the sunroof, took water from a bowl and fed it into the 4 corners of the roof to test the drain tubes for blockages....result?..no dice. At this point, I started having thoughts of getting rid of my ''headache''
and planned on rolling it off the highest cliff I could find. I tried one more thing before giving up... I sat behind the rear window and observed the corners while water was being channeled from the hose on it and guess what? wouldn't you know it..the leaks where coming from the bottom of the rear glass!!. looks like i'm going to need a reseal around the window or just replace it altogether. I hope this info helps anyone else with same or similar issues..
I do have one more issue that I could use a few suggestions on...anyone know how to get rid of the moldy smell inside the car? -one suggestion was to leave an open box of baking soda inside the cabin to do the job-(hope this works)

Ironically I choose NOT to have them on my real CLK because the real CLK mirrors look cheap with the plastic reflector.

They have a cool factor though.

Default mildew smell killer

Guys,

My fix..... One of the most overlooked products ever is "BORAX". It is an odor eater and mildew preventer. I always sprinkle it liberally under my carpets if I pull tham up. It is a white, odorless granular powder. Put a table spoon into each shoe every day for a few days and you cannot tell if the shoe is under your nose if you can't see the thing. Remarkable stuff. They used to use it in the rinse water of a diaper wash so it mild. The problem in a car is getting the borax to the site of the mildew as it is in the fabric deeply and in the padding. Take a pot of water and super-saturate it with borax by putting in say 8 cups into a gallon of water. Much oif the borax will lay on the bottom till you heat the water and then it will disolve. Pour this onto the carpet where the carpet has stood wet and mildewed. When the carpet drys the borax will be left behind in the fabric and the smell of everything will be eliminated. If the carpet still smells you didn't get the solution to all parts. us more water and soak it more thouroghly. This stuff is not corrosive and will not damage anything that I know of. The borax box used to say use it fir diapers and shoes and mildew but liabilities have forced them to recommend it only as a laundry detergent booster. BORAX now! NOT BORATEEM SOAP. Any supermarket.

Hope this helps you out a little
